My name is Steve Bennett, I'm 41 this year and was born in Oxford while England won the World Cup!

At seventeen I became a self-employed guitarist/vocalist working the clubs of North West England. It wasn't long before this career led to travel with my first Spanish performances in Lloret de Mar.

After various summer seasons in Spain, France & Belgium I formed a high-tech duo with my wife Claire 'Plus One'. We performed seasonal work at Hotels in Finland, Jersey and Spain before gaining our 'sea legs' with P&O European Ferries. This lead to Cruise Ship engagements with Windstar Cruises 'Windsurf', P&O 'Oriana' and Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines 'Black Watch'.

I discovered my passion for computers in 1997.

From midi-file programming in 1997 I developed a passion for all things computerized. Eventually I gave up the performing and created Winsford Multimedia in 2002. I did VHS to DVD transfer, created web sites including author sites and published on interactive CD-Rom.

In 2006 my video productions were used for the Chris de Burgh 'Storyman' European Tour. This included venues such as: Birminham NEC, Munich Olympiahalle and the Heineken Music hall in Amsterdam. In March 2007, singer song-writer Chris de Burgh published the following kind words on www.cdeb.com:

“In nuclear war and indeed biological war there are no winners. Everybody loses. So that’s what I was looking at. Subsequently a young man from Liverpool called Steve Bennett who I have enormous admiration and respect for started putting together visuals for songs that he liked. And there’s quite a few of them. And maybe one day other people will have a chance to see his work. I tell you when I saw this particular one of The Leader, I went into my little home cinema, which has got a big sound system and a big screen and it’s lovely and dark in there. And I put the track on with the visuals accompanying it. And when I saw the central section, not just the first part and the last part, the central section and the bombs being dropped, I suddenly realized that Steve had absolutely seen into my head. He saw what I was seeing. And I was overwhelmed. And I have to tell you quite honestly the tears were rolling down my cheeks. I was so stunned by what I saw. And I wasn’t the only one, I can assure you. Many many people since who watched that have been similarly moved.”

I now work for a school in Cheshire UK where I am a reprographics assistant and webmaster. I'm happily married to Claire, together we have a beautiful daughter and a Dalmatian dog called 'Spotty' - yes I know it's not very original but it suits him.
